Concert Bands

Wind Ensemble

The North Paulding Wind Ensemble is the top concert ensemble at North Paulding High School and comes with the prestige of playing at state and national festivals. The North Paulding Wind Ensemble plays masterworks, GA level VI music, and commissions and is expected to set the pace for bands in the state of Georgia. Because of this, the NPWE rehearses outside of school time and has routine video assignments. Admission to the NPWE is by audition and director selection only. Members of this ensemble are highly encouraged to audition for GMEA All-State Band and take private lessons. The Wind Ensemble class is an accelerated level ensemble that satisfies state and national standards.

Symphonic Band

The North Paulding Symphonic Band is the on-level band at North Paulding High School and regularly plays grade IV/V music at concerts and assessment. Admission to the NPSB is by audition and director selection only. The Symphonic Band class is an ensemble skills-based course that satisfies state and national standards.

Concert Band

The North Paulding Concert Band is the intermediate band at North Paulding High School and plays grade III/IV music at concerts and assessments. This ensemble will focus on development of core individual fundamentals as well as developing ensemble skills.

Color Guard

Fall Guard: 

The Wolfpack color guard is a remarkable group of people with a strong sense of connection and support for each other. Team spirit, outstanding directors, and a feeling of family are what make the Wolfpack color guard an incredible experience.

Winter Guard:

Auditions are in April to all students in the North Paulding School district. Members do not need to be in band to participate, but must be willing to work hard, perform hard and have fun doing it! The Winter season goes from mid-November until mid-April.

Varsity Winter Guard:

This guard competes in SAPA and WGI. In order to be a part of the Varsity Guard you must have participated in the fall program.

JV Winter Guard:

This guard competes in SAPA. This group is open to all members, new and returning.  

Cadet Winter Guard:

Auditions are in mid-September. It is open to any student attending McClure Middle, Crossroads Middle, Moses Middle, and East Middle that live in the NPHS district. Members do not need to be in band to participate but must be willing to work hard, perform hard and have fun doing it! The Winter season goes from mid-September until mid-April.

Percussion Ensemble

The North Paulding High School Percussion Ensemble is designed to cover the fundamentals of playing percussion instruments and the application of musicianship skills to the genre. It is designed to improve the playing skills and knowledge in the areas of mallets, drum set, intermediate and advanced rhythmic reading, percussion ensemble, sight-reading, and wind band ensemble playing. The students will gain an appreciation for complexity involved in performing music at a high level. To be an effective member of this organization, students must exhibit a strong work ethic and high level of discipline.
